How do you think we should use this web site! I can see many possibilities. I'm going to list some of my ideas here.
Please leave some comments here about how you feel this should/can be used.
(After you comment, you'll need to choose an ID... Use your google account which is your gmail ID. Then hit "Publish"
(You don't need to sign up as a Contributer to the Blog to do this.)
SO.. Here It Goes
IDEAS TO GET STARTED:
-Share a photo (or slide show) of travels from your retirement years
-Share notices of upcoming bus trips etc.
-Share news articles of interest (Health, travel... anything..)
-Share concerts and events going on
-Share births of new grandchildren
-Post a review of a book you've read
-Post a review of a movie you've seen
-Start a book discussion here and read a book together!
-Share photos of pets ( I could even put up a questionaire and people could vote on their favorite pet photo)
-Share poems
-Share photography
- Share photos of quilts, gardens, or crafts we are working on..
-Share a few things that are going on in your lives!
To make this work well, we'll have to post often enough that people are interested and keep coming back to this site to read the posts. It would need to be something of a group effort so the pressure doesn't fall on one or two people.
Maybe you're not all that interested in doing this...
Leave your comments and let us know how to proceed!
I'll even come out to your house and help you get started if that's an issue!
Namaste!!

Great ideas! Will try to post some things also.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Hetty. It may catch on slower than we'd like, but I really love the idea. It can keep us updated on folks, keep us connected as a special group of friends, who were co-workers not that long ago, and teach us some new skills. Thanks to Michele for getting us started!
ReplyDeleteAnd another thing...,
ReplyDeleteI was listening to WSKG out of Binghamton just yesterday, and their local Musicale group was sponsoring a Valentine's evening concert for this Saturday. They interviewed two members, who were music teachers from that area, and one of their April events is a scholarship competition like Janice's group holds. They are closly associated with Binghamton U. events. Is anyone else familiar with this group?
I'm not familiar with it Deb. The musician's union in Elmira gives scholarships as well. Are there music scholarships for Steuben County as well?
ReplyDeleteI was sad to hear that Sally Triches's husband passed away.
