You did have a picture of me after all. The mystery tree turned out to be a Magnolia and Joanne had it right. I am glad that you did get some shots of this amazing tree.
We have a Magnolia right next to our house that is small... IT turns out though that we have a Magnolia "Shrub" instead of a tree here... Whew.. That was one massive tree... very beautiful... It must have been there a long time... I wonder if there are any more around!!!
